Why now

Handling private data well shouldn’t depend on a single vendor or a black box. Presidio has grown into a widely adopted framework for detecting and anonymizing PII, and the Data Privacy Stack gives it - and future privacy tools - a neutral, community-governed home where they can be maintained in the open and evolve together.

What to expect

  • Presidio, continued. Active development under community governance.
  • More tools over time. The stack is designed to grow into a set of composable privacy building blocks.
  • Open and transparent by default. Direction is set in public, and the tools are clear about what they do and how.
